Kia ora, he uri tēnei o Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Ranginui, Ingarangi, Aerana me Kōtirana hoki. E noho ana ahau ki Tauranga Moana. Ko Stevie tōku ingoa.
I am a 27 year old wahine with a love and fascination with Te Ao Māori. With every pukapuka I read and every kōrero I hear, I think of more and more pātai. Of course some are easier than others to answer, but more often than not most require further investigation and that’s where this blog comes in.
I’m aiming to use this blog as a kete to hold all my new learning and research for both myself and anyone else who can put up with my rambling.
The format of the blog is pretty standard. I find a kaupapa I like the look of, I research it and then I write about it. Any and all references will be included after each piece, and credit will be given where applicable. You may also notice kupu (like this one here) that are underlined. This is where I have used a Māori word in lieu of the English alternative. But don’t panic! If you need a little bit of āwhina to translate it, simply click on the word and it will take you to its’ translation. That’s pretty cool aye.
